What you will learn
a) The importance of diagnosing aortic stenosis; b) The echo views, which are essential to visualize the aortic valve: 1) Parasternal long-axis view, 2) Parasternal short-axis view at the base (at the level of the great vessels); c) The key-elements, which are useful to recognize/suspect aortic stenosis; d) The connection between aortic valve and ascending aorta; e) Pathologies involving the aortic valve and/or the ascending aorta. You will also learn: 1) How to get the echo views mentioned above and how to optimize them; 2) Which cardiac structures can be seen with these echo views; 3) How echo views correlate with anatomy (simulator); 4) How to distinguish normal from abnormal aortic valves.
