Objectives
Master the sonoanatomy, sonopathology, and all basic and advanced scanning techniques for the abdominal organs, including the gastrointestinal tract, liver, pancreas, kidneys, spleen, and abdominal vasculature.
Learn to accurately identify and evaluate both common and rare, benign and malignant abdominal pathologies — utilizing comprehensive B-mode assessment, Doppler, and CEUS imaging techniques.
Focus on CEUS for advanced imaging — understand technical principles, indications, contraindications, and the interpretation of typical enhancement patterns. Integrate all of this into a practical CEUS workflow for your clinical practice.
Gain a complete ultrasound overview of intestinal pathologies such as diverticulitis, IBD, ileus, and hernias, along with a broad range of pancreatic pathologies including IPMN, and diverse renal pathologies.
Spotlight on the liver — understand quantitative ultrasound (QUS) techniques for evaluating hepatic steatosis, and learn to apply shear-wave elastography for liver stiffness assessment.
Develop expertise in abdominal vascular ultrasound by building a solid understanding of vascular sonoanatomy and Doppler assessment of blood flow in abdominal vessels, with a particular focus on the portal vein.
