Perforated Mitral Valve - an Echocardiography Case
This is a case presentation of a perforated mitral valve. Perforation was caused by endocarditis of the aortic valve, which led to a jet lesion and endocarditis of the anterior mitral valve leaflet (AMVL). This was followed by mitral valve perforation. If you have the suspicion of a perforated mitral valve, always check for a history of endocarditis.
