Hypertrophic Obstructive Cardiomyopathy (HOCM)

In this echocardiography case-presentation, Thomas shows you the key features associated with hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (HOCM). These patients are at increased risk for sudden cardiac death. Echo can help you to identify some key risk factors for sudden cardiac death (e.g. thickness of the interventricular septum > 30mm, LVOT obstruction of ≥ 30mmHg, diastolic dysfunction). This video is 9 minutes long but well worth the time invested!
