OB/GYN Ultrasound BachelorClass

The OB/GYN Ultrasound BachelorClass is a clinical course that will provide you with in-depth knowledge of OBGYN diseases and conditions.

The course covers the relevant physiological aspects in women of all age groups and during pregnancy. Specifically, the gynecological part covers diagnosis and treatment options of the most relevant pathologies in pre-and postmenopausal women. The obstetric chapter includes first-, second- and third-trimester screening and covers the most important fetal abnormalities. You will already get an introduction to the subspecialties of urogynecology and reproductive medicine.

Concise and easy-to-follow videos full of real-world examples from anatomy and pathophysiology ensure that all important aspects are addressed, from diagnosis to treatment. Lectures and footage straight from the emergency departments of two hospitals ensure you remain as close to practical applications as possible while learning how to proceed with women with abnormal uterine bleeding or abdominal pain, the most common problem in an OBGYN emergency department. The curriculum is presented in more than 7 hours of easy-to-understand and high-quality video lectures.

Prehospital Point-of-Care Ultrasound (pPOCUS)

This course will equip you with expertise in applying POCUS across diverse prehospital scenarios, including trauma, non-trauma, and resuscitative situations. Following an initial overview of physics, POCUS device functions, and basic imaging, you'll quickly develop proficiency in detecting free fluid, hemothorax, and pneumothorax. You'll also swiftly recognize pericardial effusion, tamponade, low left ventricular function, severe valve dysfunction, signs of pulmonary embolism, and large wall motion abnormalities. Furthermore, you'll know how to accurately detect aortic aneurysm, aortic dissection, and acute peripheral arterial occlusion. The course also covers a range of non-trauma conditions, including pulmonary edema, liver vein dilation, urinary retention, obstruction, ileus, acute cholecystitis chole(docho)lithiasis. Throughout, you'll explore essential protocols such as eFAST, FATE, RUSH, DYSPNEA, and CPR.

Speckle Tracking MasterClass

Introduction

Speckle Tracking Echocardiography (STE) is a rapidly growing field in echocardiography allowing us to study the “deformation” of the myocardium. Initially used as a research tool, many laboratories now include STE within their routine imaging protocols.  Clearly, STE has changed the way we determine myocardial function and will certainly impact clinical decision making even more in the future.

Let Dr. Thomas Binder and leading experts from around the world bring you through the most practical and comprehensive STE course available today. This course is designed to close the gap between what science has taught us about Speckle Tracking Echocardiography and what the clinician needs to know in order to apply this method in daily clinical practice.

How to use this course

We realize that learning can be a burden—

But effective learning is about building a habit and committing to your goals, and why we created an STE course that keeps you effortlessly engaged across hours of instructional videos.  And unlike those other courses locked away in classrooms, ours can be accessed anywhere, anytime.

Learning as Easy as Counting—

1. Clear some time in your busy schedule.

2. Log into your dashboard.

3. Begin immediately! All you have to do is Press Play.

Simply follow the 3 steps above 2x per week for ~25 minutes. It's that easy. We look forward to being your mentors to master STE!

Speckle Tracking Advanced is an in depth video course on Speckle Tracking Echocardiography which builds on what was learned in the Compendium. In contrast to the compendium, this course features even more case examples, demonstrations and expert statements from top experts in the field. Here we include advanced topics such as:

  • How to perform an advanced Speckle Tracking study.
  • A more detailed look at Myocardial Mechanics.
  • A comprehensive analysis of which factors influence strain.
  • The problem of vendor differences.
  • The possible uses of both radial and circumferential strain and the role that strain rate plays.
  • A guide to what information is hidden in the strain curves.
  • Clinical scenarios where STE can make a difference.
  • The assessment of right heart function and the left atrium using Speckle Tracking.

Adult Congenital Heart Disease BachelorClass

The Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) Bachelor Course covers the spectrum of "common" and (more or less) "simple" congenital defects. The pathologies are discussed with respect to their clinical presentation, epidemiology, diagnosis, and treatment. The main focus is on the echocardiographic assessment of congenital defects. Additional imaging modalities such as MRI and CT are also discussed. The target audience is: sonographers, cardiologists, intensivists, anesthesiologists and heart surgeons involved in the management of patients with congenital heart disease. Pediatric cardiologists are also welcome to take the course. We recommend at least basic prior knowledge in echocardiography. The content can be considered as an "add-on" to the EchoBachelor- and the Echo Masterclass as the topics are presented in more detail and include imaging aspects unique to congenital heart disease. The video course features numerous echo examples, patient cases, demonstrations, lectures, expert opinions, and multiple-choice questions.

Emergency BachelorClass

Pediatric Ultrasound BachelorClass

The Pediatric Ultrasound BachelorClass is a 10-module introductory course that covers all of the primary applications of pediatric/emergency ultrasound. Participants begin their journey as they learn about the origins of pediatric ultrasound and the relevant physics that guide image acquisition. The buttons and functionality of the point-of-care ultrasound are examined, followed by an exploration of the various point-of-care diagnostic and procedural ultrasound applications relevant to a pediatric population. From trauma scans to bedside cardiac ultrasound, participants will be guided through the expanding field of pediatric ultrasound.  Lectures are packed with real-life cases, illustrative videos, and invaluable pearls/pitfalls and best practices.
