In this echocardiography tutorial, Tommy will show you the typical features of a bicuspid aortic valve. Also, the ascending aorta is dilated, which is typical of this abnormality. Bicuspid valves are quite common (1-2 percent of the population). Several famous people were reported to have had bicuspid valves: former first Lady Barbara Bush, the comedian Robin Williams, and California Governator Arnold Schwarzenegger.
