GENERAL QUESTIONS
Q: I am a teacher. Can I use the course for teaching purposes?
A: If you want to use our course materials, Atlas or e-book for your teaching purposes with your echo students, please write an e-mail to office@123sonography.com
Q: Do I need special skills to attend the course?
A: No, Our course was designed for anyone who wants to learn echocardiography, students, physicians and sonographers. It teaches both basic and advanced skills. If you need basic training or if you are new to echocardiography also try our free “echo survival” course.
Q: Can I send echo cases to be posted on your site?
A: If you think that you have highly interesting echo cases and want to share them with the 123sonography community, please send us an e-mail at office@123sonography.com. Please be aware that you need to be the one who recorded the loops, otherwise the copyright is not with you and we cannot accept the case!
Q: Can you give me more information about your course?
A: If you want to learn more about the Masterclass, go here, if you want to learn about the Premium Membership, go here; if you want to learn about 123sonography, go here; if you want to learn about the way we teach, go here.
Q: How much practical knowledge do you provide?
A: Naturally we can not provide “hands on Training” via the internet but our course is designed to be as practical as possible. We have a large collection of demo videos which shows you how to examine patients. They will boost your practical knowledge by watching those demo videos.
Q: Do you also offer “onsite” hands on training?
A: Sorry, unfortunately not at this time. We are currently only an internet based content provider. But who knows? Possibly in the future? Please register for our newsletter and we’ll keep you informed.
Q: Is it possible to receive hands on tutoring at your institution?
A: We are sorry but at this time we are not able to offer practical training at our institution. However, we are thinking of doing so in the future. If you are not already signed up, please register for our newsletter and we’ll keep you informed.
PRODUCTS
Q: Which products are available, How do I know which one is for me?
A: Basically, we have two products. The Masterclass and the Premium Membership. The Masterclass was designed for people who want to speed up their echo knowledge and become an expert echocardiographer within 6 months. It is an intensive course on the nuts and bolts of transthoracic echocardiography. If you join the Masterclass, you will get access to all our learning resources.
The Premium Membership was designed both as a reference tool and to provide access to new and up-to-date content on echocardiography.

Q: I bought the Masterclass, but my subscription has ended several months ago. Can I still get access to subscription?
A: You can login to your account and continue your subscription on your Dashboard
Q: What is the Masterclass and what do I get?

Q: How can I get access to the Masterclass?
A: We only accept students into the Masterclass a couple of times per year. If the registration is currently ongoing, you can get access through the Masterclass page. If the registration is currently closed, you can put your name on the waiting list and we will inform you once it opens up again. Q: What is the price of your Masterclass?
A: The price of the Masterclass is subject to change. We announce the current price whenever new spots are opening up.
Q: How can I pay?
A: Please log in to our site and then click on the pink "buy" button. You will be directed to the payment plan page. Click on the appropriate plan and you will be directed to PayPal where you can pay using your credit card. Upon successful completion of the process, the system will automatically activate your full membership
PayPal acts like a digital wallet where you can securely store all your payment options, such as your bank account and credit card. When you want to make a payment, you don't have to pull out your credit card or type your billing info every time. Simply click on the PayPal checkout button, log in to your PayPal account, and select your preferred payment method. Paypal will complete the payment process.

Q: How long can I view the Masterclass course?
A: The duration of the Masterclass course is 180 days (6 months). This should give you enough time to go through all the chapters, webinars and cases. After this time, you will be able to access the site for another 3 months (6 months in total). Thereafter, you can get the Premium Membership for a small fee and access the Masterclass content for as long as you wish. The Premium Membership is a subscription, so you will have access for as long as you are a Member.
Q: How long will I have access to the Masterclass course?
A: Six months
Q: Will I be able to extend my Masterclass access, once it ends?
A: Your access to the Masterclass will end after six months following purchase. If you want to prolong your access, just become a Premium Member and you will have access to all the Masterclass contents on a continuous basis.

Q: How can I pay?

Q: I don’t live in the EU, can I still purchase your course?
A: You certainly can. Even if you don’t see your own currency on the sales-page, you can still go through the purchasing process. PayPal (our payment service provider) will automatically convert the price into your currency at the current exchange rate.
Q: I live in the US, can I still purchase your course?
A: You certainly can. Even if you see the price in Euros on the sales-page, you can still go through the purchasing process. PayPal (our payment service provider) will automatically convert the price into Dollars at the current exchange rate.
Q: I cannot use Paypal, can I purchase the course in any other way?
A: You can also wire the money directly- provided you take care of the bank handling fees.

Q: I am a technician (sonographer) interested in echocardiography. Is your course something for me?
A: Absolutely – YES. Almost half of our users are sonographers. Many users have used our course to study for the ARDMS exams.
Q: I am a sonographer studying for the ARDMS exam, is the course for me?
A: We have had a lot of students who successfully used our Masterclass course in order to prepare for the ARDMS exam. However, we have not designed the course or the quizzes for any specific exam. We have designed it in order to turn you into a skillful and sought-after echo expert.
QUIZ / DIPLOMA
Q: Will I get a diploma?
A: Yes, If you completed the entire course we will send you a Diploma. You will get the Diploma if you pass all quizzes. It is also necessary that you watched all the lectures of the course.
Q: Who will issue the diploma?
A: The diploma will be issued by the Medical University of Vienna and 123sonography.
Q: How do you test that somebody successfully completed your course?
A: After each chapter you have the option to take a quiz. You will pass if you can answer 60% of questions correctly. CMEs will be issued for each individual chapter or quiz.
Q: Do I need to take an exam at the end of the course?
A: There will be one quiz at the end of each chapter. There is no exam at the end of the course that tests all the course content. If you want to be tested only once during the course, you can always wait until the end of the last chapter and take all the quizzes in one sitting. However, we do not recommend this approach. Taking the quiz after having finished the chapter will greatly enhance the learning experience!
Q: Why should I take the quizzes?
A: There are three reasons: First, It is a good way of reviewing the content, second: You can receive CME credits and third. That way we check if you completed the course. Only then will you receive the Diploma.
Q: What if I failed one of the quizzes?
A: If you failed one of the quizzes due to technical issues, you can mail us an email at office@123sonography.com and we will see what we can do. We will try to help you where ever possible.
Q: Will I be able to present this diploma to a (potential) employer?
A: You can certainly include the diploma in your application materials for any potential job. Our course is fairly well known around the world. However, our course does not provide legitimation to practice echocardiography. You must contact your local authorities to find out what is required.
Q: Will your certificate contain a picture?
A: The certificate does not contain the photo unfortunately. However, you will get a really nice certificate once you completed the course. It will contain your name, year and confirmation that you did the course. We will also have CME credits, which you will be able to validate in most European countries and the US.
Q: How do I apply for the diploma?
A: Once you completed the course just switch to your Dashboard and request your diploma. We will then check if you qualify and send the diploma via postal mail.
Q: How do you test that somebody successfully completed your course?

CME & INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION
Q: Do you offer CME credits?
A: Yes, we do offere CME credits which are issued by the European Board of Accreditation in Cardiology. These credits can be transferred to many other countries including the USA (see below).
Q: Are the CME credits transferable to the US?
A: Absolutely, you’ll get 32 CME credits after completion of the entire course.

Q: I did not receive an e-mail confirming my registration to your newsletter. What do I have to do?
A: In most instances, the confirmation e-mail that was sent to you immediately after you registered at our site went to your spam folder. So you might want to check if the e-mail landed there. Otherwise, the registration might not have worked. So if you could not find our e-mail in your spam folder, please got to our registration page [link to registration] again and register once more. If those two approaches don’t work, please send us an e-mail at office@123sonography.com. We will try to get back to you within two working days.
Q: How can I sign up for the newsletter?
A: It’s fairly simple. Just go here and leave your name and e-mail address on the right side. We will send you a confirmation mail. Please confirm your subscription by clicking on the link provided in this confirmation mail. After that, you should be ready to go.
Q: How can I unsubscribe from your newsletter?
A: You can unsubscribe from our newsletter from within each newsletter. Just click on the respective link at the end of each newsletter. After going through that process, you should be unsubscribed from the respective list. Please be aware from the fact that you might be subscribed to more than one of our newsletter lists (e.g., we have one general newsletter but also more specific newsletter on certain echo topics). So unsubscribing from one list will not automatically unsubscribe you from all our lists. So should you get newsletters from us even after you already unsubscribed, you might also be on another list. What can you do in this case? Just unsubscribe again as long as you don’t get any e-mail from us anymore. We will miss you but we absolutely do not want to annoy you either.
TECHNICAL ISSUES

Q: Will I be able to view the lectures at any time?
A: Yes, we offer an online course. You can access the platform as long as you have internet access.
Q: The videos don’t run / I cannot see the videos
A: Please make sure you are using a modern web browser like Google Chrome and the latest version of Adobe Flash Player. If you are still experiencing technical issues you can send us a short email to office@123sonography.com including details about your operating system and internet browser.
Q: Do I need an internet connection to view the course?
A: Yes. To view our content and to see the videos you need an internet connection. Ideally a broadband connection. This will ensure rapid loading of videos. Our videos are hosted worldwide so you shouldn't encounter quality or speed problems if you are using a broadband connection.
Q: Do I need to download software to view your course?
A: No! you can view the content via your browser.
Q: Will I be able to watch your videos on the iPad or iPhone?
A: You are able to watch the Masterclass and teaching lectures as well as the patient demos and Atlas on the iPad or iPhone.
Q: Is your course available on DVD? Can I download your course?
A: Unfortunately, our course is not available on DVD and it is also not possible to download the content.
OTHER ECHO MODALITIES
Q: Do you offer courses on strain imaging?
A: Thinking about it but nothing concrete is planned as of yet.
Q: Do you offer courses on tissue Doppler?
A: Thinking about it but nothing concrete is planned as of yet.
Q: Do you offer courses on emergency echocardiography or emergency ultrasound in general?
A: Not, yet. But try our free echo survival course. It teaches you much of what you need to know at the beginning. We also post newsletters with cases in emergency medicine.
Q: Do you offer a course on congenital heart disease?
A: Our course also covers adult congenital heart disease. Shunt lesions are found in Chapter 20. Other topics can be found in the appropriate chapters. Unfortunately, we do not provide a course on pediatric echocardiography. Thus we also include content dealing with “adults” congenital heart disease.
Q: Does the course cover any pediatric/congenital topics?
A: As of now, our course mainly contains content on adult echocardiography. However, we do have one chapter on congenital heart disease. That said, we do concentrate on issues that are important for physicians treating adults. We think about designing a course on congenital echocardiography in the future.
Q: Do you offer courses on TEE?
A: We are currently working on a product which will teach you the nuts and bolts of TEE. It’s a little different from our Masterclass or Premium Membership. We will tell you all about it soon. If you want to be informed about the developments, please register for our newsletter to get informed about TEE updates.
