Introduction to the Subcostal View

In this post you will learn how to perform an echocardiography exam from the subcostal view. Many people don't know that but most standard views like the 4 chamber view or the short axis views can also be performed from a subcostal transducer position. The subcostal view can be very helpful in patients with bad image quality or in patients with suspected pericardial effusion. This video is meant for echo beginners.
